Harlem Townhouses
There are amazing town houses in Harlem! And once a year, they open their doors to the public.
For the first time, I was able to attend the Annual Historic Neighborhood House Tour, which was arranged for the 16th year in the neighborhood around Lenox Avenue, between 119th Street and 123rd. Mount Morris Park Community
Having seen these meticuosly renovated gems of houses – with mahogany panels, fireplaces, Tiffany windows, and often ultra-modern kitchens and bathrooms – it feels boring to live in a regular flat…
But I had some inspiration as of decoration and furnishing. And most of all, it’s fun to involve more and more into the Harlem community – hopefully I will soon start using all these contacts and start writing my book about it.
