Long day at the UN… Road trip ahead.
Time to leave the United Nations building. I have spent the entire day in my office here (nothing fancy, but a desk and a chair…), writing articles and trying to figure the logistics out. Very exciting to see my correspondent collegues fight over the first drafts of a report from the fact-finding mission to Lebanon (on the assassination of former prime minister Hariri).
Finally I managed to book tickets for a trip to New Mexico! Will go to Albuquerque on Saturday, then: Santa Fe, Las Cruces, White Sand, Columbus, El Paso (Texas), Ciudad Juarez (Old Mexico)… This is _of course_ a business trip, a report journey, through the desert and along the US/Mexican border…hard work, no leisure…
